Grilstad produces air-dried ham and salami originating from the food traditions in the county of Jämtland. The salami products have a long shelf life, and are appreciated as picnic food because they do not require cold storage. Grilstad AB in Sweden was established in 2002 when Burmans Charkuteri (Burmans butchers) in Östersund was bought by Norwegian Grilstad. Grilstad in Trondheim has a tradition of producing first-class smoked and fermented meat delicatessen. It is called spekemat in Norwegian. Locally in the county of Jämtland, Grilstad still markets their hot dogs and the Swedish Falukorv under the trademark Burmans.

Grilstad AB is a Swedish company that produces high-quality meat delicatessen. The production is based in Östersund and we use exclusively Swedish-produced meat. We are fortunate to have a strong Norwegian mother company in Jenssen Holding AS and we have three associated sister companies in our neighbouring country. Our objective is to grow internationally as we want to give people from all over the world the opportunity to taste our meat delicatessen produced according to traditions in Norwegian Tröndelag and Swedish Jämtland.
